Mitsubishi Maintenance -- Diamond Care Service
Purpose/FunctionFollowing the correct maintenance schedule is an essential ingredient to maintaining the longevity of your Mitsubishi vehicle. Proper maintenance will help prevent future vehicle issues from occurring, thus giving you peace of mind every time you drive.
BenefitsYour vehicle's engine performs best when each of its individual components works correctly. Having your vehicle inspected regularly will help maximize engine performance and efficiency. Authorized Mitsubishi dealerships can perform a "27-Point Vehicle Inspection" every time you visit. Upon completion of the vehicle inspection, you will be advised of any recommended services as well as when they should be completed.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy*:
Replacing a clogged air filter can improve your vehicle's gas mileage by as much as 10%. The air filter keeps impurities from damaging the inside of the engine. Not only will replacing it save gas, it will also protect your vehicle's engine.
Another way to improve your vehicle's gas mileage (by 1-2%), use the manufacturer's recommended grade of engine oil. Make sure to look for engine oil that says "Energy Conserving" on the API performance symbol to ensure it contains friction-reducing additives.
By keeping the tires inflated to the proper pressure, you can improve your vehicle's gas mileage by around 3.3%. Under-inflated tires can lower gas mileage by 0.4% for every 1 PSI drop in pressure of all four tires. Properly inflated tires are safer and last longer.
Repairing a vehicle that is noticeably out of tune or has failed an emissions test can improve its gas mileage by an average of 4%, although results may vary based on the kind of repair and how well it is completed.
